The roof is about half finished...and already, from looking at this picture, I can see things that need to be corrected. Can you? First person/people that can point out two flaws of the roof as it is seen in this picture get my undying respect!
It looks great! But if you insist there are things ... 1) What's the extra support between the 2nd and 3rd rafters left of centre for? 2) From this camera angle, the eves/overhang on the left appear to be different lengths. 3) The flat bits on the rafters don't seem to slope correctly -- mostly the 4th off centre seems a bit too low. Hmmm, have realized I don't like pointing out flaws. Anything for undying respect though ;) PS - Thanks for lending me your wife on Sunday -- it was great to see her again!
VERY well done, Jenn! You have earned my undying respect, though you already had it. The answers I was looking for were 2) the uneven eave-overhang lengths, and 3) the irregular slope. Actually, it was the 5th off-centre truss that was too high.
The "extra support" is in fact an uncompleted task. Each truss will have that support there, which allows for support for the sheathing which will meet at that ridge line.
I guess I should have given this a shot, I had all the right answers! I wasn't sure though... and I didn't want to cause you undue stress about your project if my answers were difference from the ones you were thinking of.
