I was invited to be a part of an annual slo-pitch tournament this weekend. My good friend Joel Mowchenko knew of a team that was short on players, so instead of taking the day to tear down a small barn on his property, we went to play ball. It was hot, breezy, and altogether perfect weather.
This tournament was held in the town of Mitchelton, near Mossbank, about 45 minutes south of Moose Jaw. The population of Mitchelton is 0. It's no longer lived in, and all the buildings were removed, save the town hall, and a church. Basically, the town exists because they family the town is named after hosts an annual tourney, and perhaps a few other events.
Our team, the host team, won the B-side final.
