We've moved. Still in Regina, but into a small house in a nice central area of the city, near the park and within walking distance to downtown (i.e. work). I tried to get some pictures of it when it was sunny, but it has been foggy here for the better part of a month. It's kinda weird, b/c the area we are in is older within a lot of 1920's-ish houses, and with the fog, it feels like we've left Kansas, and landed somewhere in Europe.
This place is actually very close to a dream I've had for a number of years. I would very much like to buy an old house in decent condition on the outside, and gut the inside to re-build it. I'd keep the period appearance of the house on the outside, and let that carry through into the interior, but fully update the features (kitchen, insulation , plumbing and the like).
I might actually get a chance to do a few reno's on this place, as the landlord wants some work done on it, and they may hire me to do them...new deck, new front stoop, maybe shingles.
