Long fall

So, our kitty, Phinny, is a bit of a rascal. He likes to keep us awake at night, by knocking things off of our dressers while we sleep, or pawing at the door and whining if we shut the door. We've been leaving the patio door open at night to hopefully give him the option of hanging out on the deck, and thereby leaving us alone.

Last night, however, we slept well, because Phinn didn't pester us. Curious as to what occupied him, I looked all over the apartment for him. I couldn't find him. So I looked over the edge of our THIRD-storey deck, looking for him...more like looking for a kitty-sized grease mark on the grass below. Instead...there he was, looking up at me.

I ran downstairs, and he was perfectly fine. He must have fallen/jumped about 25 feet, and he showed no sign of injury. I am still in awe of his feat/feet.

yikes! i've heard that cat's can jump/be dropped from REALLY high up and always land on their feet but that must've been crazy to see him down there in the morning!

how was the move and how's work?

The move was brutal...worst yet. I will never rely on U-haul again. After booking a truck with head office weeks in advance, they failed to ever inform me that they didn't have enough trucks for everyone. However, they did send me a polite email three days after we moved that my truck was now available!!!!!!
And then it took us three hours to get the keys to our apartment, b/c the property manager failed to tell us all the paperwork and such that we needed first...none of which I had brought with us during our first trip with my truck and a u-Haul trailer. All this while our friends who were helping us were waiting.

School is good. Work load is easy so far, but it is getting busier.
