Every year, the graduating class is assigned a series of models to build. They are of existing buildings, usually in the Regina area, and typically turn out quite well. Last year the models turned out so that they were exhibited in a local gallery.
This year, the models were we 'commissioned' to build were a bit different. We were to build a small replica of the RCMP Depot...and by small I mean small. These models usually are built at about 1:100, which makes a 2 storey building stand about a foot high. Well, our models were to be at 1:400, so the same buildings would be about 3" high. It was a little disappointing that we didn't get to work on something a little larger, but that's o.k. The miniature affect is kind of neat, and it was a real learning experience.
The reason for this is so that we could make a map of the campus, that would slowly be added to over the years by the following years classes. Anyway, the model(s) is done, and I'll let the pictures tell the story. My group didn't actually work on a building, but rather we worked on mapping out and making the base.

But ... Wade, that building looks way too small! How are the people going to fit inside it? It has to be at least ... 10 times bigger.
hehehehe
