This is one of my favorite paintings for several reasons:
- it's by Caspar David Friedrich who is a German painter (I'm half German)
-his middle name is David; my first name is David
-the title of the painting is "Wanderer Above a Sea of Fog [some say Mist](1817)
-my name, Wade, means "wanderer"
-finally, it shows a hiker in the mountains, overlooking a cloud-filled valley, and I really enjoy hiking.

u know, the guy has your build as well. haha maybe there was a guy who look just like you and had your name in 1817.
Not my favorite Caspar David Friedrich, but nice to see him mentioned by an intelligent and dicerning individual. I much prefer his slightly dark landscapes, specifically "Monastery cemetery in the snow". Interestingly he rarely painted people and of those almost never painted their faces.
