Has anyone been listening to the radio-drama, Afghanada, on CBC Radio One (a.m. dial)? It is re-broadcasting right now, daily, at 11:30-noon, though there are only three episodes left of the first season.
It is a fictional, yet current-event based, account of a group of Canadian soldiers in Kandahar. At first I thought it was cheesy, but the more I listened to it, the more I got interested in it. It is getting positive reviews, and won an award. They have made a second season, set to begin airing in September.
I am curious if anyone has listened to it, and what their impressions are. I wish I could hear experienced soldiers give their opinion on how realistic/accurate it is.
Here are some links to learn more about it.

I am supposing by the lack of response that no one has listened to the program. I had thought that more people would be listeners to CBC radio, but I guess you young kids are more interested in listening to your "rock-and-or-roll." Oh well. If anyone does ever listen to the program, I'd still be interested in your thoughts.
i resent what 'radio listener' said. i've heard snippets of afgnanada, but hadn't really developed an opinion on it. i did think it was interesting that a rather lefty broadcasting group was airing something that seems to be in favour of the war, or at least trying to give listeners a different perspective. i am interested in your opinion on 'the current' story on corn and ethanol this morning ... that is if you heard it.
ps regina and s'toon both have cbc r1 on fm now.
alas, I no longer can listen to CBC regualrly, as I am now in school. But thanx for commenting. I wish I knew more about the corn/ethanol issue, b/c from my understanding, there is some considerable debate around it.
